Water Mist Systems

In case other types of active protection results to be inadequate or too invasive, water mist systems can be used to extinguish fire with water mist.

By spraying very fine drops of water, it is possible to control, extinguish or suppress the fire by cooling gas and flames by evaporation, inerting the oxygen present in the environment (again by evaporation) and by mitigating the radiant heat given off by the flames. Density and distribution of the water mist are just some of the numerous discriminants that designers will have to take into consideration when designing the system.

In water mist firefighting systems, Sebino Fire and Security technology is based on components that are actually assessed on full-scale extinguishing tests, suitably sized by design engineering and installed with suitably trained and skilled personnel.
